Shaylie is 6!

Shaylie just turned 6 years old.  Yikes!  Where does the time go?? For her birthday we surprised her by redoing her bedroom in a Paris Poodle Styled Room.  Lucky for me, Grandma is an amazing seamstress so we went and picked out fabric to make her bedding, reorganized her bedroom & Grandpa & Daddy even built her shelves in her closet to keep toys separated and organized.  Found this beautiful lamp at Hobby Lobby along with a couple other decor must haves, and got busy putting together her room.   She loved it so much, that she decided that her birthday party should be themed the same way.  I had a hard time figuring out how to them her party "Paris Poodle"  but finally came up with a few really cute game ideas and found some beautiful printables online from Paper Glitter on Etsy.

I do have to say that this took me forever to cut out everything and put it all together, but it turned out so cute that I think it was totally worth it! ;)  When the girls arrived we gave them their passports and then two tour guides (Sister & Friend) took them to places like Paris ( Shaylie's Room) to play a game and win a prize.  The girls looked like they had a great time. My favorite thing that I found while preparing for the party was a beautiful site called Le Papier Studio.  Once I found this site I knew I had to have one of these silhouettes made for Shaylie's room.    Here is the picture I sent in, and here is what she did with it.

I had her stand like she was walking a dog with her hand out holding a leash.  Then shot this with back light so that she would be easy to outline.

I LOVE IT!  IT should come any day and I can't wait to frame it and hang it in her room.

Shaylie loves to sing and perform, she loves reading and LOVES school!  She is in Kindergarten and thinks it is the best ever.  She also says that she is a song writer so she writes and performs her own songs.  Usually she announces herself as Clara before she sings it.

We love you SHAYLIE, you are such a sweet little girl and we love you SO MUCH!!
