Lincoln City , Oregon is where we stayed while visiting the Oregon Coast. It was really great. We even had a couple of days with blue skies.
The kids could not get enough of the beach and the day I should have brought my camera to the beach I didn't. I was so worried about it getting stolen that I missed out on the best picture taking day with blue skies.
We found a lot of seashells and the kids could make sand castles for hours.
Adding water to the sand hole.
Shaylie got more sand in her hair than the bucket.
This was her sand car. Hard to tell, I know.
Great day for flying Kites.
Ayden's sand crab.
Looking in tide pools for starfish and other fun things to touch.
We stayed in a cute little house across the street from the Ocean, the stairs down to the beach measly 133 steps, ouch! But still so close. It had a hot tub that the kids would warm up in and they loved that!
We stayed up late and played our new favorite game "Wackee Six". The kids can not get enough of this game. Thanks for getting us so hooked on that one Despain family.. We love it!
Depot Bay, Oregon
We also got to see gray whales in Depot Bay. How cool is that.
Here is the whales fluke if you can see it.
Cape Kiwanda - Pacific City, Oregon
This beach was amazing! I want to stay here the next time we visit the coast. It was beautiful with rock climbing cliffs, huge Sand dunes to jump down and off and gorgeous caves right on the beach.
We absolutely loved this beach!!!
Here is a picture of some surfers learning to surf and I loved how they all walked out together.
Yaquina Bay Lighthouse - Newport, Oregon
This light house was really pretty, but the nasty kelp flies were everywhere! Ick! We all got to climb to the top and look out. Then we explored the beach around it.
Multnomah Falls, Oregon
We stopped in Multnomah Falls on the way there. I am so glad that I dressed up to travel with all of these pictures. With my black camera bag on my back I look like the Hunchback from Notre Dame. LOL!
The falls were absolutely stunning, if I could choose a place to take pictures often it would be there for sure! There was moss growing up trees and beautiful rock walk ways, cool old bridges and a cute creek running through it.
What a great trip! We sure wish some of our other family could have joined us there. Maybe next time!
