Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad’s 66th birthday!    I thought it would be fun to share some fun facts and things that I love about him.

Happy Birthday Dad, we love you special!!

                  

1.)  He is the oldest of 6 kids of which 5 of them are boys 1 girl.

2.) He loves animals, mostly dogs.  Ha ha ha – ask any of the dogs we had growing up.

3.) He has mastered the game of bun darts

4.) He adores his grandchildren.

5.) He loves to fish.

6.) He is always buying a “good deal” even if he doesn’t need it.

7.) He has 6 kids of his own, 4 girls and 2 boys of which I am his favorite.

8.) He is a great cook!

9.) He adores my Mom and I love the way he looks at her.

10.) He has a great sense of humor.

11.) He taught me how to Toilet Paper a house like a champ, he was so good he would set off their sprinklers before we ran.

12.) He is very generous with all that he has.

13.) When he is grouchy Grandma calls him Grump-pa and the grandkids call him Eugene Crabs.

14.) He has has been admitted to many of the Northwest Hospitals due to kidney stones.

15.)  He taught me and my siblings how to snow ski and water ski.

16.)  He is not afraid to make a fool of himself.

17.)  He is also known in the Kennewick as Doctor Leonardo.  He treat all bogus illness’s including toe-lio and knee-sles.

18.)  He is a good athlete and has taught us all how to play lots of sports.

19.)  He served a Mission in New England.

20.) He was a traveling salesman while we were growing up and was very successful.

21.) He puts ketchup on stew. 

22.) He always listens and his supportive of me and my family.

23.)  He is a good man.

24.) He makes the best pancakes ever.

25.)  He used to have a pink handled brush that I was terrified of.  I think he broke it on my backside.

26.) He is compassionate.

27.) He believes in fairy’s.

28.)  He is a fun grandpa and the kids love to be around him.

29.) He likes burnt toast.

30.) He computed from Montana to Spokane for his job.

31.) He wants his children to be happy.

32.) He’s not the best secret keeper.  But he tries, I think he just forgets its a secret.  LOL!

33.) He and Brielle text back and forth and she loves that he does that with her.

34.) He played High School Basketball and Football.

35.) He loves dumb shows and laughs so hard, it is so funny to watch.

36.) He was born in Santa Monica, CA.

37.) He and my Mom lived on the same street growing up but didn’t know each other then.

38.) My brother Chris looks just like him.

39.)  He liked to embarrass me in front of my boyfriends growing up.

40.) He loves the Beach Boys.

41.) He used to sing in a boys choir.

42.) Had a dog named not-so growing up.

43.) His Anniversary is on September 11th.

44.)  He made several touch downs in football when he was in school.

45.) Bleached his hair on the baseball bus.  My Mom thinks the boys just put bleach in their hats and put them on their heads.

46.)  He was Homecoming King in High School

47.)  He was named after his father Eugene Ren Smart Sr.

48.)  He once rolled a car up on to his high school lawn as a prank.

49.)  He dressed up like Chewbacca for Halloween while we lived in Boise.

50.)  His family means everything to him, and we all know how he feels about us.

51.)  His name is Eugene Ren Smart Jr. and they would call him Ren, Ren, the big fat hen.

52.)   He has owned his own business.

53.)    He always loved doing pinewood derby cars with my brothers.

54.)  He does some really cool dances like the Egyptian that my kids love to copy.

55.)  His younger brothers used to trap and collect golf balls by where they lived, then they would put them in a basket and sell them to the golfers coming by.  My Dad decided they didn’t need to do that so he hit all of the balls all over the course, leaving his brothers mad.

56.)  He is a jokester.

57.)  He is great at the barbecue.

58.)  He was once kicked out of school for the day for leaving school grounds and for throwing snowballs at a principal.

59.)  He has had 2 knee replacement surgeries and my children call him Mr. Roboto because of it.

60.)  He claims to be related to elephants because of the size of his ears when he was a child.

61.)  While playing school basketball he once jumped up to get the ball and accidently put in the the basket for the other team.

62.)  He will eat pretty much anything.

63.)  He played his fathers guitar.

64.)  He loves music, but always chooses to sing funny while sitting next to him at church.

65.)  He used to work with his brother Jerry hauling hay for farmers, but according to Jerry that didn’t last long.

66.)   He got a ticket on his 66th birthday.  Yep today.  Sorry Dad!  I hope you have a happy birthday!
