Shaylie had her 1st dance recital today. She performed a ballet routine to "You are my sunshine". The little girls were so cute up there it made me all teary. I know I am such a baby, but they were darling. It is also really hard watching my baby girl seem so big.
When we got there, she wanted to get up on the big stage and stretch like the big girls. Hilarious! She then decided to dance until the program started. Here she is stretching and here she and her shadow are practicing.
While she was backstage waiting, she threw herself on the ground and tried to take off the head piece, thank goodness for one of the Teachers Tori who totally saved me, I just had to walk away........can you say Drama Queen?? Yes I think so. At one point during Shaylie's routine she stopped dancing to smile a BIG smile at Grandma & Grandpa and then started waving at them. It was so cute. Of course my camera battery died and I didn't get a picture of the waving. Shaylie loved every minute of her recital and she was a very cute ballerina. Good job Shaylie, you did so good!

Jenne I am crying in Hawaii right now that I missed this! I have been checking your blog every free chance to see a glimpse of these. They are adorable. Um, I think my niece is in your daughters ballet class. I think she is actually in that picture you took.
Nope, not in the picture. I still think she is in that class. My sister in law Lisa did a post about Lorelai's ballet and they had the same costumes and it was outside. Small world.
