Jeremy has been dealing with a Kidney Stone a couple of weeks now. They finally were able to get him in for Surgery this past Friday and let me tell you that he feels way worse. These pictures are of him before surgery. If I was to take a picture of him after, you definitely would not be seeing a thumbs up.
See how calm he looks here, not the case anymore.
We spent all day in the hospital Friday which was pretty lame since they checked him in 3 hours early. Told him he was next and I hurried and dropped Shaylie off at a friends to rush to the hospital and then they were wrong. His surgery was still scheduled for the same time and the Doctor was even 1 hour late for that. So not off to a good start.
After he came out of the surgery he was in recovery for about 2 hours before they would let me see him, and I thought I would find him a bit druggy but okay. Nope, not even close - he was in so much pain and nobody seemed real concerned about it. Like it was normal. I kept asking the nurses to give him more pain medicine and they would but it didn't seem to be helping. To make a long story short - this was not a good day or fun experience AT ALL!
They sent Jeremy home around 11:00 that night. I hurried and got him home and then went and collected my kids from around the neighborhood -(thanks Kate & Courtney) then tried to go get Jeremy's medicine from Walgreens at 1:00 a.m. and guess what their computers went down. Yep no pain meds for Jeremy. I couldn't believe it. So I headed home empty handed. Needless to say neither Jeremy or I got an ounce of sleep Friday night. Saturday morning was crazy as I ran from Pharmacy to Pharmacy to get Jeremy medicine. Finally around 11:00 I think I finally had collected it all and got it home. After getting him medicine I farmed out my older children to friends houses to play so that I could keep it quiet for him. Jeremy's Mom and brother came down from Wenatchee to check on him and only a stayed a few hours, but we were sure glad to see them.
By Saturday night we all passed out pretty hard. Jeremy is still home and hurting pretty bad. He has still not passed the kidney stone and is pretty miserable. Please keep him in your prayers.
