Chase had his Pinewood Derby last night for Scouts.
Chase and Ayden both made cars for this even though Ayden won't be a scout until September. The boys both picked cars they liked off the internet to make for this. Chase picked a Red Ferrari and Ayden chose Bumblebee from Transformers.
Jeremy worked hard with the boys to make these cars. I know he loves this. It has totally been his hobby this last month and I am sure they know him by name at the Hobby Store here .
Chase's car was really fast. He won 2 of the 3 on his first heat, and then his car came off the track for one of them. In the end we think he ended up placing 4th overall. His car was named "Most Aero-dynamic" and he also got a participation blue ribbon.
Ayden got to race his car with others once the official racing was over. His car was also very fast. However he was more interested in eating the refreshments than racing when it got to that point......so funny.
It was a fun night at the church. The boys really look forward to this all year. Brielle says that she is going to make a pink car for next year.

Did he carve those cars? I remember blocks of wood with wheels. If he carved those, I am really impressed.
Jeff and his dad almost alway won, I think the men in that ward were more competitive than the boys though. :)

We love the Pinewood Derby! It's such a fun time for daddies to spend with their sons- preparing the perfect car. Our family likes playing the cheering squad. :)
Conner has won 2 years in a row! We hope Parker or Conner will take home the championship again this year.
