TWILIGHT Exclusive Showing

As all of you already know, I am a huge Twilight Fan! I have read all of the books numerous times, and have been so excited for the movie to come out. So when talking about it with some of my friends we decided to rent out the theatre for our own exclusive showing. We invited close friends only and made some basic rules.
#1 No husbands and #2 No kids. Beautiful really when you think about it. When planning for this, we really wanted to make it a great experience so we decided that we would send out a Twilight Quiz form Bella Swan of course, and have movie prizes for our winners. We also made Movie Passes instead of tickets that everyone had to pick up ahead of time and wear to the theatre. This is why I have been so busy the last 2 weeks not blogging. I have been working on designing the passes. I think they turned out really great for my first real design type project, and it was fun to see everyone wearing it and loving it. So today was the big day! Whoo hoo, we are all so excited. Stacey, Kathy, and I got there early to set up. We roped off an area with Red Ribbon for the three of us to sit, and then set up the prize table and put up pictures and quotes from the book along the walls. It was really so much fun to put together!!
Here are some of the pictures of the day as well as a picture of the pass and other pictures I made.

Here is Kathy, Me, and Stacey with our passes and Golden Eyes.

This is me and Edward having a moment to ourselves.

Here is Stacey and Edward - So Passionate!

Here is Kathy and Edward for their Poster Photo Shoot.

This is Me, Edward and Emmet hanging out off set.

As for the movie this is my personal review, so please judge it on your own. It was just okay for me, that being said I would still like to see it again. I think that the book is just so amazing that it is definitely hard to live up to that expectation.
There were some really corny-cheesy moments that really threw me off. I thought that Bella was great! Edward was okay. It was almost like he was trying to hard to act the part. He needed to relax a bit and not force it. Jacob was great! Rosalie was better than I had expected and I thought Esme, Emmet, and Carlisle were perfect. Alice was also adorable. Jasper was creepy and weird and I am not sure if he spoke more than 2 lines in the whole show. Jessica Stanley was one of my favorites along with all of the high school kids like Angela, Eric, & Mike. There were some really cute and funny moments.
I guess what I am trying to remember is that this movie was not made for Moms, but more targeting young 13-17 year olds.
The movie was pretty clean, I don't think there was a single bad word. Only one kissing scene, and mild violence.
I hope that anyone that sees the movie, that has not read the book will not be discouraged about reading it. The book is so much better!
All in all so much fun! I would so do it again in a heartbeat!
Here is the only picture that wasn't completely blurry of me and my friends. We are all way cuter in focus.

You sound like RANDY from American Idol with the whole "it was just OK for me" bit. You make me laugh. Super cute pass. We went on friday night...Kevin even went with me. I thought it was way better then I was expecting it to be. I think I convinced myself that it was going to suck compared to the book..which it did...but I think they did a good job. All except Jasper...freak! Oh well still a fun time and one I will probably own. Miss you tons

I think the movie far surpassed the book. In my opinion though, not that hard to do. ;) Now that is not to say that I don't enjoy the books. I just don't believe them to be literary works of art, just a fun story that would probably be better handled in a more capable writer's hands. Now I am going to duck behind a couch so I don't get hit with all of the projectiles that would surely be thrown from Twilight fanatics.

Well I have to agree, I was not that good. Edward kind of creeped me out with his looks he would give Bella. It was not what I expected. Oh well I wish I would have come with you guys, that looked like more fun. Love you..
