Yesterday (Wednesday) is my busiest day of the week. I have overloaded this day to keep the rest of the week seeming easy to handle. Not only do my kids all have early release on Wednesdays but we have Scouts, Activity days, Piano lessons, and Ballet. Yesterday I had agreed to help with Activity Days. So I pawned off my boys on a friend (Thanks Courntey) and went to help. I also had helped the Young Women a couple of weeks ago with their talent show routine (Boy Band Dance and Lips Sync)and was supposed to be going to watch them as soon as I picked up Brielle from dance.
Needless to say, things didn't go quite as planned.
I did get through the majority of my day. I helped the girls with Activity Days, Chase went to Scouts, Brielle went to Piano Lessons, and then we dropped of Brielle for Ballet. Almost done. All I had left to do was feed my kids dinner and pick up Brielle then head for the church for the talent show.
I decided that a Drive-Thru was just what I needed. I didn't have time to make dinner so we could just grab something and then pick up Brielle.
When we got in to the drive thru I asked the kids what they wanted. We ordered and pulled up to the window. As the lady handed me our drinks through the window I heard Shaylie start throwing up. Not your little spit up either. Full on puking! As quickly as I could I put the drinks down, threw open my door, opened her door. Grabbed her out of her car seat so she didn't have to continue puking on herself and set her outside the car where she continued to Puke right next to the Drive-Thru window. Did I mention that there were cars lined up behind us ordering food as my child is barfing all over the ground in the drive-thru. It was not only so embarassing but just disgusting. I don't know if anyone in their right mind could eat anything after witnessing this. I asked the lady and guy working the window for a large cup of water to rinse the drive-thru the best I could I dumped several cups of water over the mess as well as over my arms since she was able to cover me and herself with vomit as well. I was trying so hard to be a good Mommy while cleaning her up, trying as hard as I can to control my own gag reflex. About 5 minutes later I was able to put her in the car, not her carseat it was also completely covered. We drove accross the street to Brielle's Dance Studio. I ran in and told her we had to leave and go home before Shaylie started puking again. I felt so bad, she had only been at dance maybe 20 minutes. Luckily her Dance teacher was so understanding.
On my way home I called the YW president and told her I would not be able to come to the talent show. What a day.
We got home and I got cleaned up and put Shaylie through the bath. Poor Baby. I hate it when they are sick. I feel so bad for them. I wrapped her up in a blanket and just held her basically all night. Luckily she has not thrown up anymore. Her fever seems to have broken and she seems to be her chatty self this morning.
Now I will cross my fingers that it doesn't go through the rest of the family.

Awww...rough day! You're a survivor! Kiss Shaylie for me (even though she doesn't know we're related). Hope your weekend goes better, a nice, slow, together weekend perhaps!!
Ohh, poor girl and poor mom!
This is a first..I haven't heard of a kid puking in the drive thru. hehe
She feeling better yet?
Oh my gosh, what a fun day. I hope Shaylie is feeling better. I hated it when Britt was not feeling well, I felt so bad for her. Love you..
Oh, Jen....

Now I have to click off this post because it's making my throat close up.
Wow! That stinks. I had no idea that was how your Wednesday went. I can't believe you came on Thursday. You're a trooper.
