We had a whirlwind of a holiday, but absolutely had a blast.
It started for us on the Wednesday before Christmas.
Twas the Wednesday before Christmas, guess who came to our house??
It was Gracie and Ella and Hilary with Spouse.
The girls played so well and they even did share,
In hopes that their Grandma soon would be there.
On Thursday I went to the Doctor too early
and waited too long and my husband got squirrely.
Then Grandma arrived right before I got home,
just in time for the tour of our new blessed home.
With Jesse and Natalie, Ryan, Kristen and Kate,
they all had arrived not a moment too late.
We opened some gifts that was done in a flash,
We shopped, we got lost, planned a wedding, then crashed.
We went to see lights with the fun dancing trees,
and Grandma laughed so hard that we thought she might pee.
We woke up real early, and started to bake,
the cinnamon rolls were plenty and with no mistake.......
I was sure that my recipe would win our fun game,
but Natalie walked away with all glory and fame.
We then went a bowling which was way too much fun,
then the family would leave as they were losing the sun.
But just as they left my dear sister arrived,
she brought Harry and Brittany and a yummy surprise!
A plate a full of goodies to eat and to share,
we went to bed early and the next day I cut my hair.
They left for Spokane as the snow started down,
and they did get there safely so no-one will frown.
A day later Christmas Eve had finally arrived,
Jeremy worked all day long and got off after 5:00.
We went to the DeSpains for some treats and some fun,
then came home opened one present then to bed to be done.
The morning of Christmas was really so great,
kids eyes were just beaming and every gift was a treat.
We packed up our clothes threw the kids in the car,
and hurried to Spokane which seemed really so far.
And when we arrived and could see all the FAMILY,
it made our trip worth it and the the kids said CAN WE...........................
open our gifts and give gifts to each other,
they gave webkinz to cousins and switched gifts for brothers.
When all of the opening finally was done,
Jeremy got in the car and headed for home.
I stayed with the kids in Spokane a few days,
we saw friends, did some sledding, and shopped some might say.
We had a great time and did not want to go,
but we're missing our Daddy and it's starting to snow.
And so as we drive our cute van out of sight,
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and to our Papa a Silent Night!
