Chase had his first baseball game last night. He is playing for the West Plains Little League and his team is called "The Mets". Chase is so excited to be playing ball again. He loved playing with Uncle Chris as his coach last year and wishes he was still playing on his team, but it just didn't work out this year.
He doesn't know anyone on his team but hasn't had any problems making friends.
So now on to the exciting news. Chase hit a homerun last night. His very first.
he got up to bat 3 times, and each time he clocked the ball clear out in to the outfield. The third time was the charm. A homerun!
We were so excited to see him run all the bases and you should have seen his face as he crossed home plate. The biggest grin from ear to ear. He also made a couple other great plays. He played first base and got a kid out on first and that was also exciting. It is really fun to watch him start to understand the game of Baseball. Whoo hoo! Home Run!

a homerun! way to go chase!! I LOVE going to little league baseball games and miss going to my little brothers...how long until kate's doing that?!?
I cried reading about Chase's baptism. What a day! What a glorious day! My prayer is that he follows the LORD all the days of his life.
